Fiam Italia renews its support for cancer research once again this year, by participating in the tenth edition of Love Design, the biennial event promoted by the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC) and the Industrial Design Association (ADI). The event, which will be held from the 1st to the 7th of November, brings together prestigious brands from the world of the Italian design. This year, the initiative has been renewed, turning into a digital event on a national scale.
Fiam Italia, together with the major Made in Italy design firms, will donate two mirrors: The Wing and Caldeira models. The former one, designed by Daniel Libeskind, recreates some of stylistic features of the designer’s significant architectural projects combining different elements and mixing its flat mirroring surface with patterns of strong emotional impact. The latter one is a wall mirror in high-temperature fused glass and is characterized by an artistic ornamentation in relief, a hymn to creativity, a real work of art, designed by Xavier Lust.
The website lovedesign.airc.it is thus transformed into a prestigious virtual showcase with over 5,000 objects of design and fashion. Here donors can concretely contribute to fund three triennial scholarships for young researchers, each worth 75 thousand euro. Love Design is definitely a moment of authentic social participation and a unique opportunity to purchase unmissable items.
