Fiam Italia has been chosen with the most important leading companies in the sector to be the protagonist of the auction beaten by Christie’s in favor of the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation of Italy Onlus, promoted every year to raise funds to support its programs.
This year the auction will be dedicated to the Made-in-Italy design excellences that will donate historical pieces, prototypes and one-offs. In particular, the Marche-based company will offer two of its most recognized works: the Ghost armchair, the iconic curved glass seat designed by Cini Boeri chosen for the occasion in special back-painted silver green version, and Caldeira by Xavier Lust, the wall mirror in high-temperature melted glass with artistic relief ornamentation in the elliptical version.
All the works will be exhibited in the Christie’s Milan office, in via Clerici 5, from 28 to 30 September, during the preview of the lots open to the public. Then, the pieces will be auctioned on November 19 in the presence of Kerry Kennedy, president of the association, during the RFK Human Rights Italia Gala & Award 2021.
